The Big Blue Nation’s presence online is unlike any other fanbase’s, for both good and bad. Today, we got a hilarious example of the #BBN’s reach in the form of Drew Timme. This morning, an edit of the Gonzaga big man in a Kentucky jersey started making the rounds with a claim that he might transfer to Lexington for his senior season.

Just like that, #TimmeTime was born. Social media sleuths went to work, noting that Timme follows four Wildcats: Oscar Tshiewbe, Cason Wallace, Sahvir Wheeler, and Keion Brooks.

Fans started dreaming of the newest version of the twin towers, Timme and Oscar Tshiebwe.

We got a Billy Donovan joke.

Someone even edited Timme’s Wikipedia profile to show he’s a Kentucky Wildcat.

Matt eventually got in on the fun:

At one point, Timme was trending, which caught the eye of Megan Timme, his mother.

Timme was in for quite a surprise when he woke up on the West Coast.

“What have I woken up to today,” he asked on Twitter. “Twitter we good? Is it April first?”

Before you even entertain the possibility, we’re hearing that no, Drew Timme will not transfer to Kentucky. Currently, he is testing the NBA Draft waters and is projected to go in the second round. While I’m sure John Calipari would love nothing more than another big man — a national player of the year candidate, nonetheless — to play alongside Oscar Tshiebwe, the dream is just that, albeit a fun one. According to Kyle Tucker, Timme and Oscar met at the Wooden Awards and apparently hit it off, which may have sparked all of this.

Regardless, it’s good to see the BBN having a little fun online after a tough month.
