kief Kentucky football has been on a tear recently, appearing as high as No. 2 on the team ranking charts on Rivals. One player the Cats have on board, but not officially committed is three-star wide receiver Tyre Brady from Homestead, Fla. There was no “Yahtzee!” being played by the coaching staff shortly after his announcement, as we have grown so accustomed to seeing in celebration of a new player. It seems the staff is holding off on him for whatever reason, but the exact status is unclear. Like four-star wide receiver Derek Kief who picks his school this evening. The Cincinnati La Salle product will be choosing between Kentucky, Alabama, and Ohio State. Read that sentence again… Kentucky, Alabama, and Ohio State. Now, the obvious guess for Kief is Alabama, considering he is fresh off a visit to Tuscaloosa. But crazier things have happened. Stay tuned into Twitter around 5:30 tonight for his decision and follow @DKief10 where he will make his announcement. If Kief passes on the Cats, four-star wide receiver Braxton Berrios is still very much an option. He just released his top five, and included with Kentucky is Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia. We know Drew Barker is on him hard. Finally, a new name on the radar: Caldwell County High School quarterback Elijah Sindelar received an offer from UK late last week. A member of the 2015 class, Sindelar has not been rated by the scouting services. But we know the emphasis this coaching staff has on in-state kids, so whether he is a three-star or a five-star, Kentucky wants him.
