Kentucky Football Receives a Commitment from a JUCO Offensive Lineman
Big Blue Nation is completely consumed with the Kentucky football coaching search less than 24 hours after Mark Stoops was relieved of his duties. Meanwhile, the ABCs apply: Always Be Crootin’.
Even though we don’t know who will be coaching the Kentucky football team in 2026, we do know that players will be signing on Wednesday during the Early Signing Period. A new player has been added to the mix, Caleb Pyfrom.
Pyfrom, a 6-foot-5, 325-pound offensive lineman from Omaha, Nebraska, announced on Monday afternoon that he has committed to Kentucky. He shared the decision a few days after taking an official visit to Lexington.
“They gave me an opportunity and I loved the campus and everything I saw down there,” Pyfrom told Rivals.
“I felt like it would be a great place to land. They said that they would still honor my commitment so I’m just gonna bet on myself and go compete at a great school!”

Pyfrom began his collegiate career at Missouri. He most recently played for Garden City Community College. New Mexico State and Southern Miss were also potential destinations for Pyfrom.
Let’s be candid, this is weird, but hey, that’s college football. To use the words of Adam Luckett, what a sport.
