Kentucky vs. Florida: By the Numbers

It’s almost Football Time in the Bluegrass. For the last time in 2025, Kentucky is playing under the lights at Kroger Field against an SEC opponent. It’s one final opportunity to snap the 10-game losing streak at home to SEC teams. Will they get it done against the Gators from Florida? Here’s all of the stats, facts, and numbers you need to know.

-5 — Turnover margin for Kentucky, which is only ahead of Arkansas in the SEC. Kentucky has turned it over 13 times, but only has eight takeaways. The Wildcats’ first fumble recovery of the season was by WR Cam Miller, who forced the fumble after Auburn picked off Cutter Boley. Florida has scored 74 points off turnovers in games where DJ Lagway was the starter.

1 — Game against a Power Conference foe where Florida has scored more than two offensive touchdowns, their upset win over Texas.

2 — Times Mark Stoops has faced an interim head coach. Both games were blowout wins for the Wildcats.

3 — Florida wins over Kentucky in the last seven games of the series. Yes, Kentucky has a winning record over Florida since 2018.

4 — Straight seasons where Jordan Lovett has recorded multiple interceptions, the first Kentucky defensive back to do so in the Stoops era.

7 — Rushing touchdowns by Kentucky RB Seth McGowan, tied for fourth in the SEC. After tallying consecutive 100-yard games, McGowan has not surpassed 55 rushing yards over the last three games.

7 — Quarterback sacks by Kentucky at Auburn were the most by a UK defense since the 2023 Gator Bowl. The Wildcats also had 12 tackles for loss in the win on The Plains.

9 — Interceptions by DJ Lagway are the most in the SEC.

23 — Offensive plays of 20+ yards for Kentucky. It ranks No. 129 out of 136 FBS teams, only ahead of three Power Conference teams: Penn State, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. Florida isn’t much better. They rank No. 103 with 31 plays of 20 yards or more.

24 — Florida scores in 26 trips to the Red Zone. The 92.3% conversion rate ranks No. 17 nationally.

35 — Years since Kentucky hosted Florida in November.

71.4 — Cutter Boley’s completion percentage at home. The Kentucky quarterback has thrown seven touchdowns and two interceptions at Kroger Field.

85.4 — Rushing yards per game by Florida’s Jadan Baugh, the fifth-most in the SEC, who the Kentucky coaches described as the most complete running back in the SEC.

128.46 — DJ Lagway’s quarterback rating is 15th in the SEC, ahead of only Auburn’s Jackson Arnold.
