Sources tell KSR the first wave of football players on campus will participate in workouts Monday morning at 8 a.m. The group of about 50 or so players has been medically cleared to return to action and is primarily made up of players from the area and upperclassmen that continued living in Lexington during the coronavirus pandemic. As the first group begins team activities next week, the second wave of players will return to campus and begin the process of becoming medically cleared to play. Incoming freshman Justin Rogers recently said he will be reporting to campus June 15. The SEC's embargo on all on-campus activities will be lifted Monday. Officials from the University of Kentucky have yet to release a statement on exactly how players will return to campus and the protocols each team must follow to ensure safety. The Kentucky football program has not met together as a team since March 12, their fifth spring practice that took place just before coronavirus closed campuses across the country.
