We have confirmation today that Jay Wright, the handsome dapper coach for the University of Villanova
either was interviewed yesterday by Mitch Barnhart or will be interviewed in the next two days. Wright is probably my second choice for the job behind Billy Donovan, so the confirmation of this news makes this young blogger very happy. But from a factual standpoint, what this news really means is that Mitch is taking the "process" part of the coaching search seriously, and plans on taking a good look in a lot of different places. One still has to think Billy D is the top choice, but if that doesnt work out, it looks as if all bases will be covered.
Update: I changed the wording from "today" to the "next two days" thanks to an email I just received. Also multiple internet posters now claim that Comcast Sports in Philly has confirmed this news by reporting that VIllanova's AD has given permission for Mitch to interview Wright.
