The AP ranked Kentucky eighth overall this week, up four spots from No. 12. Tennessee is the No. 1 overall team for the first time in 11 years after collecting 48 of the 64 first-place votes. Kentucky's next two challengers, Mississippi State and Kansas, are ranked No. 22 and No. 9, respectively.
