Kentucky Loses to In-State Rival

[caption id="attachment_177789" align="aligncenter" width="150"]11020822 Photo by UK Athletics[/caption]   The No.17 Wildcats took on the Cardinals at John Cropp Stadium on Tuesday in a mid-week non-conference game. Although Kentucky put up a good fight, they lost 8-0 after a four-game winning streak against Louisville. Cardinal pitcher, Maryssa Becker only allowed the Cats to pick up one run from Nikki Sagermann. Defensively, Shannon Smith started in the circle, allowing two runs, two hits, with four strikeouts. She was then replaced by Meagan Prince who allowed two runs and four hits. Erin Rethlake came in to get the final out of the fourth inning. Kentucky takes on Western Kentucky University tonight at John Cropp Stadium.
