LIVE BLOG: Kentucky vs. Louisville
Kentucky needs one win to reach bowl eligibility. Can the Cats get it against a struggling Louisville team? KSR’s LIVE BLOG will bring you all the sights and sounds from the 37th Governor’s Cup (12 p.m. ET, ACC Network).
The Cats are coming off a bad Saturday in Nashville, a 45-17 loss to Vanderbilt, which snapped a three-game winning streak. Louisville is coming off a loss, too, its third straight. The Cards are bowl eligible, but had bigger dreams in Jeff Brohm’s third season. There are plenty of injuries on both sides. As we saw vs. Auburn and Florida so far this season, Kentucky has a history of pouncing on vulnerable squads; will they do it to get back to a bowl after missing out last year?

Enthusiasm is Low
11/29/2025 10:12:16 AMAt least that’s the case among fans. This will be the least-attended Governor’s Cup game since the series was renewed in 1994. Yes, the cold will make it a late-arriving crowd, but the crowd in the tailgate lot was much worse than my already low expectations. These Louisville fans don’t like their team. Kentucky fans want to win, but aren’t exactly thrilled with the state of the program. I’m curious how many of these seats will actually be filled once the ball is kicked off.

Early Jawing
11/29/2025 09:51:19 AMBefore we could finish our Live YouTube stream, the teams had to be separated twice. It was nothing crazy, your typical barking back and forth.
Walk and Talk
