The Cats made the cut for Dallas power forward P.J. Washington.  The No. 16 player in the class of 2016 trimmed his list to Kentucky, Arizona, Texas, UCLA, UNLV, North Carolina, Kansas and N.C. State.  The Cats' biggest battle will be with his home state school of Texas, although Evan Daniels said earlier today, "Kentucky is in good shape."  It's also worth noting that Washington has a Kentucky connection -- he was born in Louisville.

After attending the Peach Jam, Washington is without a doubt my favorite post player in the class.  He's only 6'7", but he's the best rebounder I saw on the floor, bringing back memories of Chuck Hayes.  Washington is also a proficient trash-talker, one that backs down from nobody. His Team Penny teammate John Petty is also considered a heavy lean to Kentucky.  Their recruitment is similar; Calipari must draw Petty away from his home state school, Arkansas.
