Pleasure Ridge Park senior cornerback Elijah Reed has hit the Power Five recruiting scene late in the summer. Now, the 6-foot-3, 185-pound defensive back has a scholarship offer from Kentucky. Reed, a dual-sport athlete out of Louisville, announced his new offer on Saturday. Kentucky is Reed's first offer, but he's certainly familiar with the Wildcats. Reed trains at Aspirations Gym with Chris Vaughn, who most notably trained Kentucky's top commit in the 2022 class, Kiyaunta Goodwin. Reed is also familiar with Kentucky sophomore Carrington Valentine, who went to Moeller High School in Cincinnati. It's been evident that Kentucky has been focused on in-state and local talent this recruiting cycle with the likes of Goodwin, Treyveon Longmire (Corbin), Grant Bingham (Paintsville), Jackson Smith (Danville), Josh Kattus (Cincinnati), and Alex Afari (West Chester). Now they may be getting another one in Elijah Reed. Come on down.
