Kentucky players scored more points during the NBA Playoffs than any school in history

We've already beaten this horse to death, but a new statistic is bringing the poor bastard back to life one more time; Former Kentucky players scored more points during the 2020 NBA Playoffs than any school has during a single postseason in league history--and it wasn't close at all. Bam Adebayo, Eric Bledsoe, Anthony Davis, Hamidou Diallo, Wenyen Gabriel, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tyler Herro, Enes Kanter, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Jamal Murray, Nerlens Noel, Patrick Patterson, and Rajon Rondo (13 players) combined to score a grand total of 2,249 postseason points. The second-highest total? North Carolina, back in 1993 with just 1,593--656 fewer than Kentucky in 2020. https://twitter.com/UKCoachCalipari/status/1316128843212763136 As you might have guessed, those 2,249 points embarrassed the next-highest program inside the Bubble; Marquette's 791 points were only good enough for second on the list (Jimmy Butler, Jae Crowder, and Wesley Matthews). Coming in third was Duke with 682, followed by Michigan (507), Texas A&M (491; shoutout to Alex Caruso), Kansas (441), Arizona State (430), and Indiana (414). And because I was interested myself, I decided to figure out just exactly where those Wildcat points came from. As you likely expected, Davis was in first with Murray not far behind.
