calipari-briscoe As it is every year, Kentucky's non-conference schedule is loaded with marquee matchups this season. Yahoo's Jeff Eisenberg released his list of the top 25 non-conference games in all of college basketball, and, not surprisingly, Kentucky's in a lot of them. Twenty percent, in fact:

2. Kentucky at Louisville, Dec. 21 3. Kansas at Kentucky, Jan. 28 6. Kentucky vs. Michigan State, Nov. 15 (New York) 7. North Carolina vs. Kentucky, Dec. 17 (Las Vegas) 11. UCLA at Kentucky, Dec. 3

I would rank the Kansas game ahead of the Louisville game since the Jayhawks are a top three/five team, but Eisenberg seems to have a lot of faith in Rick Pitino's squad.
"College basketball’s most hostile rivalry pits a Kentucky team loaded with its usual array of elite freshmen against a Louisville team with a pair of sophomores who could be poised for breakout seasons. If guard Donovan Mitchell and forward Deng Adel can help replace the scoring void created by the graduation of Damion Lee and Trey Lewis, the Cardinals have top 10 potential."
If you're going to Madison Square Garden to see the Cats take on Michigan State in the Champions Classic, you'll also be treated to Eisenberg's top non-conference game: Duke vs. Kansas. Personally, I'm interested to see how the Dukies handle the mega-hype that's been heaped upon them thus far.
