The UK football team beat Ole Miss 30-13 on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Commonwealth Stadium in Lexington, Ky. Last week at the E3 expo, the newest installment of EA Sports’ NCAA Football franchise debuted on the showroom floor. While there is still a couple of weeks until its release day for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, those lucky few inside the Los Angeles Convention Center revealed some details about the game. We have already seen the top players in the entire game revealed, along with each team rating. I posted that data here last week, including the entire Kentucky schedule for 2013. Now we have more data on the individual team rosters. Below is how the top of Kentucky’s roster will look in NCAA Football ’14, of course, according to EA Sports. top-10-football-players-kentucky-ncaa-14 The biggest surprise has to be the how loaded the defense appears to be, and more specifically the defensive front. Six of the top ten players on the roster are on the defensive side of the ball, including the top four players overall. That has to make defensive-minded head coach Mark Stoops happy. You have the senior anchor in the middle, Avery Williamson leading the way for the Cats with an 88 overall rating. Close behind is 340-pound D-tackle Mister Cobble, flanked by Bud Dupree on the end, boasting a healthy 89 acceleration value, which will be more than handy coming off the corner on the pass rush. Throw in a solid rating with safeties Glenn Faulkner and Ashley Lowery, and NCAA Football has plenty of respect for the Wildcats defense next season. Not to forget the offense, three skill position players appear in the top ten, along with senior tackle Kevin Miller leading the way in pocket protection. Jonathan George is rated the best running back on the team, Max Smith checks in as the top quarterback, and Demarco Robinson and his blazing 91 speed round out the top players on the squad.
