Kentucky Speedway GM says race scheduled for July will go as planned

Sports are slowly returning to our everyday life and the Kentucky Speedway plans on sticking to its original course.
During a conference call via Zoom on Friday, Kentucky Speedway GM Mark Simendinger told reporters that they are "full steam ahead" for the racing event scheduled during the second week of July.
“We’ll be ready for that weekend and ready for all three races,” Simendinger said, according to Jeremey Rauch of FOX19 NOW. "Our directions (from NASCAR) are to go full steam ahead.”
The race will encompass the entire weekend, starting July 9 and running through July 11 with the Quaker State 400 closing out the event on that Sunday.
As of right now, the potential of bringing spectators into the Kentucky Speedway stands is still up-in-the-air. NASCAR has already stated that no fans will be able to attend races that run through June 21, although that could change by the time they get to Kentucky.
“I’ve never had to prepare for two different scenarios," Simendinger added on the conference call. "We have to prepare as if we are going to have spectators in the grandstands, or a scenario that we don’t have spectators. We don’t where we’re going to fall into all of that.”
NASCAR is set to make its return after a two-month hiatus later on Sunday at Darlington Raceway with a 3:30 p.m. EST starting time on FOX. The race has been named the "The Real Heroes 400", honoring the frontline workers who have been fighting against the coronavirus.
