In a non-conference schedule peppered with directional schools and big-name opponents, the one that everyone has been eye-balling arrives Saturday at Rupp Arena. The first intrastate battle between John Calipari and Rick Pitino will divide The Commonwealth between blue and white (about 75-25 I'd say) and, apparently, attract the eyes of the entire nation. The Faux Hawk today released the
credentialed media list for Saturday's game, which totals 85 people. Among the list's names are the heavy hitters (CBS, ESPN.com, Sports Illustrated, FoxSports, New York Daily News, Sporting News, Yahoo!) and the little guys (Maysville Ledger Independent, Lewis County Herald, Middlesboro Daily News). But, what most finds might find most interesting are the names of eight NBA teams scheduled to be in attendance. The Pacers, Rockets, Lakers, Jazz, Spurs, Thunder and Bobcats will all send a representative, while the Warriors will send two.
