Tomorrow, it will officially be Football Time In The Bluegrass™️. The KSR crew is ready to share our predictions on how the Kentucky Wildcats will fare against the ULM Warhawks. Enjoy comments and score picks from our esteemed panel of experts as we count down ’til kickoff.

Kentucky vs. ULM Predictions

Tyler Thompson: ULM is not good, to the point Terry Bowden essentially waved the white flag earlier this week. Kentucky will win this game easily. While everyone is excited to see Liam Coen’s new offense and Will Levis’ cannon of an arm, I don’t expect the Cats to stray too far from their bread and butter rushing attack. Chris Rodriguez will notch his seventh 100-yard game with Kavosiey Smoke and the reserves getting plenty of touches as well. I think we’ll see a few exciting passing plays, but with Missouri coming to town next week, I doubt Stoops and Coen let too much out of the bag just yet.

Cats roll and cover (-31), and we all rejoice in Kentucky Football finally being back in our lives.

Score: Kentucky 45, ULM 7

Drew Franklin: Saturday will be a bad day to be a ULM Warhawk in Kroger Field. Kentucky has a new offense to try out with new faces calling and snapping the plays, while the defense is experienced and expected to carry on the new tradition of being one of the better defensive units in the SEC. Shout out Mark Stoops.

I see Kentucky jumping out early—real early—with a first-drive score and then a long day of quick 3-and-outs any time the visiting team tries to answer. We’re watching UK’s second and third stringers by the fourth quarter. Call it, 52-10. Bring it, Mizzou.

Score: Kentucky 52, ULM 10

Adam Luckett: ULM is not a good football team. Kentucky will take advantage of that. The Wildcats get off to a hot start in the first quarter and build a huge lead early. Kentucky takes their foot off the gas and cruises in the second 30 minutes. Wan’Dale Robinson is the star by recording a 100-yard receiving game in his first game back home. UK improves to 8-1 ATS in their last nine non-conference games.

Score: Kentucky 44, ULM 6

Nick Roush: As excited as we are to see the forward pass, this game will be won on the ground. Outside of a Will Levis play-action bomb on the first offensive snap, the BBN will leave Saturday talking about another dominant rushing effort on the ground. Once Coen calls off the dogs and takes out Chris Rodriguez, Kentucky will accidentally score touchdowns with Mike Drennen and La’Vell Wright. Kentucky turnovers are the only thing potentially keeping ULM in the game early.

Let the record state that even though I am typing my game score after Drew Franklin, there is an audio prediction on the Depth Chart Podcast that will verify my original score. I guess great minds just think alike.

Score: Kentucky 52, ULM 10

Zack Geoghegan: When your head coach is already looking ahead to week two, you probably aren’t in a good position entering week one. ULM should be better in 2021 than the 0-10 record from 2020, but massive roster and coaching staff turnover will make for some hiccups along the way. Kentucky won’t give away any secrets on Saturday and might experience a couple of miscues early on, but the ‘Cats are simply too talented for this game to be within 25 points when the clock hits 0:00.

Score: Kentucky 41, ULM 13

Brent Wainscott: This one is really all about the games within the game. Those games? How does Liam Coen’s new-look offense look against a far-inferior opponent, and does Kentucky cover the spread?

A new offense with a new quarterback in game-action might cause for a shaky liftoff; I think it’s totally plausible Kentucky only gets out of the 1st Quarter with 10 points, but it’s an offense that will get in gear quickly.

I think Kentucky doesn’t cover -31 but still looks convincing in doing so. Chris Rodriguez will have his way- rushing for about 125-yards, and we get a sample size of what Levis can bring to the offense throwing in the low-200s for game one. In typical Mark Stoops fashion, I don’t feel like he runs up the score on his buddy, going to 1-8 ATS in Week 1, but the suffocating Kentucky defense will make ULM backers sweat a little.

Score: Kentucky 38, ULM 10
