Kentucky WBB was able to 'share the love' against USC Upstate
Kentucky beat USC Upstate handily on Monday, winning 98-43. The truth of the matter is, Kentucky is a step above USC Upstate, but these early season non-conference games provide much value.
Georgia Amoore was one of five Cats in double figures in the scoring column on Monday, and 28 of Kentucky’s points came off the bench. Postgame, Amoore talked about the importance of these types of games and how they can allow players to build up their confidence for games later on in the year.
“We all have value. I think in practice, we all prove that we can score, and I think, all respect to USC Upstate, games like this — it’s time to introduce people and get people comfortable and share the love like this,” Amoore said. “Times like this, we build chemistry, take these shots and see where we can go because later on down the line, whose game is it going to be?”
She added, “We’re gonna have someone that has to step up. If they haven’t prepared in these games, then maybe they’re not as ready as we need them to be. So, I think this was perfect, just getting the ball to everyone and sharing the love.”
