For the second consecutive game, Kentucky needed a miraculous second half comeback to win.  Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a career-high 30 points to lead UK to an improbable 83-81 overtime victory over Vanderbilt. Gilgeous-Alexander's amazing night started when UK was down 14 with 15:23 to play in the second half.  SGA and Quade Green exploded for an 11-0 scoring run to close the gap to just four.  After playing a game of tug-o-war for the rest of the half, it all came down to the free throw line. Once again, Riley LaChance was shooting free throws with the game on the line.  Once again, he choked away a chance to beat Kentucky.  LaChance's front end miss on a one-and-one gave the Cats just enough wiggle room.  SGA took what LaChance gave him and buried two free throws with two seconds to play to force overtime. Gilgeous-Alexander rode the wave of momentum into overtime by immediately scoring a bucket to retake the lead.  It looked like Kevin Knox sealed the deal with an 'And One,' his sixth overtime point, until Vandy found one more bucket. It all ended with Green's spectacular finish at the rim in transition with five seconds to play to give Kentucky a two-point victory.    [mobile_ad]
