Kentucky’s 10–3 win at Auburn came with a handful of milestones

We watched a slow grind on the Plains, but, while boring at times, Kentucky’s 10–3 victory at Auburn checked several boxes in the record book and broke a few streaks along the way.
Here are five milestones from the game.
11 straight seasons with an SEC road win
Saturday marked the 11th consecutive season Kentucky has won a SEC road game, extending a school record that began when Stoops’ Wildcats won at South Carolina in 2014. The Wildcats have now beaten at least one SEC opponent away from home every year since that 45-38 upset in Columbia. More in Columbia would follow, and in the other Columbia, and in Gainesville, Nashville, Knoxville, and Oxford.
Cutter Boley joins Morgan Newton
Though he’s a redshirt-freshman, Cutter Boley became the first Kentucky freshman QB to win an SEC road game since Morgan Newton at Georgia in 2009. It wasn’t a flashy performance (161 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions), but his poise on third down on the scoring drive after halftime was enough to get it done.
Held to three points

Kentucky‘s defense held Auburn to three points, the fewest the Wildcats have ever allowed in a game at Jordan-Hare Stadium. It also marked the fewest points Auburn has scored in a home game in 13 years, since being shut out by Georgia in 2012.

Winning without points
The Wildcats didn’t light up the scoreboard, either. In fact, the 10 points were the fewest Kentucky has scored in an SEC road win since 1976, when they beat Tennessee 7-0 in Knoxville. Derrick Ramsey’s touchdown pass to Greg Woods snapped a 12-year losing streak to the Vols back then.
Jordan Lovett makes history
When Jordan Lovett sealed the win with an interception in the end zone, he became the first player in school history to record at least two interceptions in four straight seasons. Lovett, from North Hardin High School, has played since his freshman season and has nine career interceptions in the UK secondary.
