Kentucky's recruiting class is the consensus No. 1...again
Here’s a headline that won’t surprise you: Kentucky’s incoming recruiting class has been ranked No. 1 by all of the major outlets. While that may seem like the norm, this is only the fourth consensus No. 1 recruiting class of the John Calipari Era, joining the 2010 class, the 2011 class, and the 2013 class. Somehow, 247 Sports had the 2009 class that included John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and Eric Bledsoe No. 2.
Here’s a handy chart from UK showing where each recruiting class finished in rankings by ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals, and the Recruiting Services Consensus Index (RSCI), which tallies major recruiting rankings and plugs them into a formula to calculate a consensus ranking.
2009 | 2010 | 2011 | 2012 | 2013 | 2014 | 2015 | 2016 | 2017 | 2018 | 2019 | 2020 | |
