OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Each year the U.S. News & World Report ranks our nation's schools.  It's a voluminous project that consumes data from over 21,000 public high schools.  None of the Kentucky schools made the nation's Top 25, so we'll simply look at the best of the best from around the Commonwealth.  I'm sure you can guess who was #1...
  1. Manual (Louisville)
  2. Ft. Thomas Highlands
  3. Beechwood
  4. South Oldham
  5. North Oldham
  6. Glasgow High School (God's Country, Ky.)
  7. Woodford County High School (#WOFO)
  8. Atherton (Louisville)
  9. Brown School (Louisville)
  10. Ryle High School (Union, Ky.)
Other public schools that came close: Henry Clay, Louisville Male, Franklin-Simpson, Lafayette, Murray and Corbin. As a person that has been taught to dislike Manual and everything they stand for, I am actually pretty happy to see them beat Highlands, thanks to Jared Lorenzen.  I have plenty of good friends from Highlands but frankly, I'm sick and tired of hearing him go on and on about the Bluebirds' greatness on the KSR Football Podcast.
