Product of North Hardin High School, La'Rod King, caught a long touchdown pass today in Kentucky's first scrimmage leaving little doubt that he is the main passing target this season.  While he certainly is a great pass catcher, memory of who threw the ball or how long it was is not his thing.  "I don't really know, I just catch them."   While King looked good, the offense tossed several interceptions which resulted in a pick-6 and another near one.   Sophomore from Hopkinsville, Malcolm McDuffen, was responsible for the pick-6, while Senior, Cartier Rice, from Duncan, South Carolina was responsible for the near one.  It may look concerning that our Quarterbacks gave up two picks , but at the same time it's encouraging for the defense. Let's remember for a moment that Rick Minter consistently coaches defensive units that force tons of picks, last year Kentucky was 10th nationally in Interception Percentage (4.4%) without players who forced many interceptions in the past.  With the youth and inexperience on the defense it's encouraging to hear that Minter is still molding ball hawks.
