UK Football Media Day During the slow and insipid summer of 2008, former KSR wordsmith Evan Hilbert profiled each and every member of the University of Kentucky football team. Though his knowledge was sparse and his research was far from thorough, Evan’s short and insufficient player profiles were an integral part of Kentucky’s success that season. UK finished with seven wins, including the opener at Louisville and a 25-19 victory in the Liberty Bowl. Kentucky hasn’t won a bowl game since. Once his two years of JUCO were up, he renewed his commitment to former Texas Tech assistants Neal Brown, Tommy Mainord and Chad Scott, this time at Kentucky, though. Blue chose UK over West Virginia, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Arizona State and a handful of others for his final two seasons of college football. Butler Community College (JUCO), 2011-2012 As a freshman in 2011, Blue caught 27 passes for 586 yards and three touchdowns for Butler. He led the Grizzlies in 2012 with 65 receptions for 1,064 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore. He finished the year fourth overall in receiving yards and touchdowns in the NJCAA last season. Something You Didn't Know About Him He's really good at backflips. But I think you knew that already. Something We Made Up About Him Blue chose to attend Butler C.C. after spending time with friends and family at Wichita's Sedgwick County Zoo and Museum of World Treasures during summer vacation following his senior year of high school. Blue is also confident in his game; he told WHAS's Adam Lefkoe he wants to be the best wide receiver in Kentucky football history.
