KSR Preps Recap : Ashland hands Boyd County biggest loss in series history 55-7

Austin Tackett, Noah Roberts, Aroc Colburn, Braxton Ratliff, and Will Adkins all rushed for touchdowns for Ashland. Ratliff played well under center for the Tomcats rushing for two touchdowns and throwing for two more, the senior completed 10 of his 11 passes for 163 yards. His athleticism along with Roberts running ability was too much for the depleted Lions to handle. Boyd County got on the scoreboard on a 67 yard run by their quarterback Will Adkins but the Ashland defense continued its dominance as it has only allowed two touchdowns in its last 16 quarters. Adkins accounted for all but 10 of the Lions 153 total yards. Ashland is playing well at the right time as they approach the heart of their district schedule with a showdown against Johnson Central looming in 3 weeks. Other Notable Scores Trinity 35 St.Xavier 13 Spencer Blackburn ran for 115 yards and a touchdown while completing 15 of 21 passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Trinity dominated the line of scrimmage gaining 287 yards on the ground, senior Roderick Thomas lead the way with 26 carries for 151 yards and two scores. Trinity has now won 11 of the last 12 in this great rivalry as St.X falls to 4-2. Lafayette 65 Bryan Station 55 UK Commit Walker Wood was terrific on Friday night completing 19 of 29 passes for 245 yards as well as 185 yards on the ground finishing the night with 7 total touchdowns. Lafayette scored three unanswered touchdowns before halftime to give them a lead they would not surrender. Jalen Burbage had a big night for Bryan Station completing 26 of 38 passes for 394 yards and 6 touchdowns. Collins 38 Franklin Co. 31 JR Lucas threw 3 touchdowns passes to Dalton Maggard in a game that wasn't as close as the scoreboard indicates, Collins lead throughout with their biggest lead being 24-7 in the third quarter. Franklin County has now lost 4 in a row in a tough season for the Flyers.
