The Centurions allowed just 73 rushing yards against a DeSales team that had been averaging 190 rushing yards a game. The Centurions forced two turnovers and did not allow the Colts past the 50 yard line in the first half. Austin Carr connected with Wright for a 40 yard touchdown pass on a brilliant double move to score the night's only offensive touchdown. DeSales special teams made a huge play when Alex Schneider blocked a CAL punt into the end zone where James Sims recovered for the touchdown to make it 9-7 early in the second half. A 38 yard field goal from Eric Quinton proved to be enough for the Centurions in this one. The CAL defense forced a turnover on downs with DeSales threatening to take the lead early in the 4th quarter. The Colts would have two more chances that would result in a punt and incomplete pass. Aaron Pfaadt took over at quarterback after three series and went on to complete 13 of 24 for 109 yards along with 51 yards on 11 carries for DeSales.  The Colts were unable to put a scoring drive together on a night that we saw them attempt 30 passes and just 20 rushes. These teams expect to see each other again come November and it will be the Centurions hosting for the 6th straight year. DeSales will look to make it 5 years in a row that they have lost to CAL in the regular season but come back to beat them in the third round of the playoffs. Other Notable Scores Ryle 49 Cooper 42 Jake Chisholm rushed for 218 yards to lead Ryle past Cooper in a Union City rivalry game. Cole Burch scored from 7 yards out to give Ryle a lead with 10 minutes remaining. The Raider defense would make two crucial stops to seal the game against the state's leading passer Jarod Lonaker who finished the night completing 22 passes for 310 yards. St.Xavier 28 Manual 12 Senior QB Desmond Ridder accounted for all 4 of the Tigers touchdowns on Friday night rushing for 82 yards and 3 touchdowns. Sam Taylor helped add 88 yards on 16 carries to give St.X a rebound win. The Tiger defense held Manual's powerful rushing attack to just 56 yards on 26 carries. Lexington Catholic 41 Western Hills 7  Dameon Jones finished the night with 159 all purpose yards and 4 touchdowns to lead Lex Cath to their first win since week one. Its Boyle County week for the Knights as they prepare to face their district rival in a game that will have serious playoff implications.
