Folks, we did it. We finally made it to a Kentucky football gameday at Kroger Field. Sure, there were home games last year, but it was not the same without a packed house. Today the Commonwealth is officially back, united together to watch the Wildcats kick some ass on a beautiful September afternoon. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Before you hit the road, here is everything you need to be prepared for your Kentucky football gameday at Kroger Field.

The Schedule

  • 8:00 am — The KSR Pregame Show Kicks Off on 630 WLAP
  • 9:00 am — KSBar and Grille opens for Breakfast
  • 9:00 am — Lextran shuttles begin downtown and outside of KSBar
  • 9:45 am — The Cat Walk returns outside of Gate 1
  • Noon — Kickoff on the SEC Network
  • 5:00 pm — OVW Live outside of KSBar
  • 6:30 pm — Josh Paschal and Yusuf Corker signing at KSBar

Vegas, TV, Radio

The Wildcats open the season as big favorites. Seeking a 12th straight non-conference victory, Kentucky is a 31-point favorite over ULM. The total is set at 54. Vegas is daring you to bet the Cats will win a blowout, but don’t forget BTI’s Friday morning lesson: Stoops is just 1-5 ATS against Group of Five teams in home openers.

Taylor Zarzour, Matt Stinchcomb and Alyssa Lang are on the call for the noon kickoff on the SEC Network. If you’d rather listen to the Voice of the Wildcats, there are multiple ways to hear today’s game.

  • AM: 840 WHAS, 630 WLAP
  • FM: 98.1 WBUL
  • Satellite: XM-81 and Sirius-81
  • Online: iHeart Radio

Get Hyped

If that didn’t do the trick, just crank up Grove Street and put that bad boy on repeat. I also recommend playing this once or twice.

Download Your Mobile Tickets Now

This year UK Athletics has gone paperless. Most of you should know this by now, but you will not have a paper ticket to scan at the gate. Download your tickets and parking passes to your phone right now and add them to your mobile wallet. It’s easy once you get the hang of it. Do it now and save yourself the time and hassle once you get to Kroger Field.

If you have not figured it out right away, follow these step-by-step instructions to access your tickets.

Don’t Forget Your Mask

Kroger Field will be requiring all guests, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks while indoors. This applies to all fans entering through Commonwealth Tower, the Kentucky football recruiting room, the player/guest entrance, the Longship Club and the Lexus Loge.

Kentucky’s clear bag policy remains in effect. If you have more questions about protocols for Kentucky football gameday at Kroger Field, UK Athletics has answers.

Saturday Swag

The Wildcats are opening the season wearing blue helmets, blue jersey and white pants. They could not have picked a better model than Darian Kinnard.

Top-Notch Visitors

ULM is not exactly a marquee opponent. That does not mean marquee recruits will not be at Kroger Field Saturday afternoon.

The top two uncommitted players expected to attend today’s game are Dane Key and Aamil Wagner. Key’s presence is no surprise, the Lexington native is a frequent campus visitor, but getting Wagner in town is a big deal. A top ten offensive tackle in America, his presence today verifies the good Kentucky vibes we’ve been feeling around his recruitment. With commits Kiyaunta Goodwin and Grant Bingham also expected to be at the Kroge, this could be the first step in solidifying the future of the Big Blue Wall.

The Last Time Kentucky Played ULM

We do not know much about Terry Bowden’s team. We do know they were winless last year and added 62 players to the roster ahead of this season. Instead of analyzing a bunch of stuff we don’t know, let’s look back at the last time the two teams met in 2014. Javess Blue stole the show and the Cats won 48-14.
