Kentucky was once a sports gambling desert. Today we reach the oasis. Sports gambling is live on mobile devices all across the Commonwealth and we’re betting on all of the action with the FanDuel Sportsbook app.
There are plenty of different companies that provide similar services, but do any of them have the No. 1 Sportsbook app in the world? No. FanDuel is also an official sportsbook of the NFL. That’s why the fine folks at On3 have partnered with FanDuel to kick off this historic occasion.
You’re probably thinking to yourself, Wait, I thought the radio show was working with another company? Allow me to clear up a common misconception. Matt Jones was the founder and creator of the radio show and the blog, but he owns neither. iHeart Radio is in charge of the radio show, while On3 is the owner/operator of the website you’re reading right now. The two teams decided to partner with different sportsbooks. We’re happy you’re here to join us for the wild ride.
Don’t wait any longer. We’re incredibly excited to partner with FanDuel Sportsbook. Head to FanDuel.com/kysports where new customers can wager as little as $5 and receive $200 in bonus bets!
Disclaimer: 21+ and present in KY. First online real money wager only. $10 first deposit required. Bonus issued as nonwithdrawable bonus bets which expire 7 days after receipt. Restrictions apply. See terms at sportsbook.fanduel.com. Gambling Problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER
Huge 11 Personnel to Celebrate the Start of Sports Gambling
We’ve called in the big dogs to kick off this historic milestone in Kentucky and get you ready for the Cats and the Gators. Andy Staples and Devin Leary will be joining 11 Personnel for a LIVE show at Noon on the KSR YouTube Channel.
But wait — there’s more!
We’re following up 11 Personnel with a live Friday edition of Pigskin Preview. For the first time we’ll be able to place the bets while we are talking about them. It’s going to be glorious. That show will go LIVE at noon, our final Friday of Pigskin Preview. We’re moving it up a day to give you more time to make some money. What a wild time to be alive.
Free Money Giveaway at KSBar and Grille
Don’t like to wager money? You can still win FREE MONEY by watching Thursday Night Football at KSBar and Grille. All you have to do is join us for the action between the Lions (-1.5) and the Packers and at halftime one lucky customer is walking away with $500. What a deal. Kickoff is just after 8 pm EST on Amazon Prime.
Don’t want to wait that late to start watching football? 100 miles of Hate between Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee State kicks off three straight days of football action across the Bluegrass. The Tops are 6.5-point favorites over the Blue Raiders, Louisville is a 3.5-point favorite at NC State on Friday night and Kentucky is a 1.5-point favorite against the Gators from Florida on Saturday.
Kentucky Defense Gearing up for Physical Florida Attack
This Florida football team feels a lot like some of Mark Stoops’ old Kentucky football teams. They do not have an explosive aerial attack, but they do have an exceptional defense and a physical offense that loves to run the ball with a couple of outstanding running backs.
“We gotta play strong up front. We gotta play physical. We talked about the light boxes last week, you can’t in this one. You’re going to have to have as many bodies in there and you’re going to have to rally tackle,” White told reporters. “They can run through blocks, so we gotta tackle well. We gotta run through blocks. We gotta be able to strike and separate. We gotta do all the fundamental things.”
Stoops will take the podium one final time before the ball gets rolling with the Cats and the Gators. He’ll speak Thursday evening at approximately 5 pm and we’ll share whatever he has to say about his team before it gets real.
Kentucky Football Recruiting Chatter
Kentucky is using the Florida game to bring big-time recruits to campus. Who i? It’s not entirely clear, but there’s a lot of scuttlebutt going around, scuttlebutt I shared with On3’s Josh Newberg on The Inside Scoop.
The Radio Show is on the Road
You can catch Matt Jones and the KSR crew at The Mint in Williamsburg. The pre-show gets the ball rolling at 9 am to celebrate the start of sports gambling on mobile devices across Kentucky.
