Rose and her husband "Chubb" If you're listening to Kentucky Sports Radio right now, odds are you know who Rose is. Rose is one of the show's most lovable callers, and largely responsible for organizing last Friday's fundraising show from West Liberty. Thanks to her efforts, KSR, Coach Cal, and countless members of the Big Blue Nation, over $65,000 was raised for the West Liberty Recovery Fund. As a way of saying thanks, Big Blue Nation Cares, an organization that gives football and basketball tickets to those who have shown extreme loyalty to the team, is giving Rose a pair of tickets to a Kentucky basketball game. According to Larry Vaught, Rose received this email from the organization:
“My wife and I were moving our son into UK for his freshman year last Friday. We were listening to (KSR on) WLAP and heard the details of what you and your town went through several months ago and continue to face. As we live over 600 miles away, we’re not always able to keep up with the details of what goes inside Kentucky. As a token of appreciation of what you have (and continue to do) for your fellow Wildcat brethren, we would like to send you a pair of lower level tickets (hopefully front row near Joe B. Hall) for any one of the following games. If the game is a night game, we will also provide you with a hotel room in Lexington so you won’t be driving too late into the night to return home.”
Rose called in to the radio show this morning and said that she has chosen to attend the Texas A&M game on January 12th. Rose for the "Y"?
