L-S-Who? Game Thread

by:Matt Jones02/16/08
gsgdsg Today is possibly the make or break game for the Cats as they head into Baton Rouge for a contest against LSU with major Tournament implications. (It is also photo shoot weekend for the radio's calendar as well, but that is another story). Win, and you follow with three games at home and a potential setup for the 6-1 finish that it will likely take to send the Cats to the tournament. Lose and you risk finding an unwinnable situation in which the NIT is the best possible option. Lately the LSU Tigers have been looking like they are reverting back to the Chris Jackson days (still the most underrated college basketball player in my lifetime), scaring Tennessee at home and then whipping Florida on the road. They are long, athletic and able to score inside and play tough perimeter defense. They have struggled on shooting and can easily be beaten by a strong mid-range game, which I expect UK to try and exploit. Look for a big game from Joe Crawford as he tries to take LSU's smaller guards off the dribble and exploit his strength advantage at the basket. I see the Cats coming to play, battling hard all game and pulling out a 65-61 victory that could get the Vandy game out of everyone's minds. What say you? Its Cats vs Tigers in a big game down on the Bayou. Use this thread to predict and chat....
