The Scott County freshman has been compared to Young.  The 6'4" 260-pounder received an early offer from Mark Stoops last month.  The hope is that he'll follow in Young's footsteps and develop into an elite talent.  After today's win, I'd say he's off to a good start. A view of one of Young's final throws. In other news from the world of track and field, former Wildcat Kendra Harrison broke the American record in the 100 meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 12.24.  The next time you'll see her she'll be running in Rio, representing the USA. UPDATE He didn't get the shot put title, but he's claiming his third straight championship in discus, falling just shy of a new state record.  Bryan Hudson finished second.
