Let the Cornell Worry Begin!

There is a lot going on in this picture above....you have Ashley, Drake, World Wide Wes looking at Ashley like she is nuts, Boogie's mother and it looks like Calipari's wife. Quite a group for one picture and kudos to SI for capturing it. As you know by now, Cornell put the wood on Wisconsin and has moved to play Kentucky in the next round. We will break down the game more in the night post, but as for now, many UK fans are worried that the Cats have no chance and the world is coming to an end. Slow down. I like Cornell as a team and they are a lot of fun to watch. BUT, with the exception of their game against Kansas, they havent played any team with the length and speed that Kentucky has. I am not saying Cornell is a certain win, but this isnt the 1992 Duke team either. There are reasons to worry about Cornell, but when you get to the Sweet 16, there are reasons to worry about every team. My biggest concern isnt even on the court, it will be off as Ithaca is just 45 minutes from Syracuse, meaning there will be Cornell fans everywhere. It is THE biggest game in school history and my guess is that they show up in masse. Still, its Kentucky. Four, maybe five lottery picks on the roster. The Cats are the favorite and should be. So take a deep breath and enjoy our first Sweet 16 appearance since 2005.
