The Lexington Police put a notice on your door banning residents from putting their indoor furniture (aka couches) outside the next two weekends.  Here's what the notice says:

During the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Sweet 16/Elite 8 and Final Four weekends from March 26th through April 7th, the University of Kentucky off-campus housing area has been determined to be an EMERGENCY AREA. It will regularly monitored for nuisance violations including but not limited to indoor furniture outside.

The streets in this area include but are not limited to the following: State St., Elizabeth St., Conn Terrace, Transcript Ave., Journal Ave., Crescent Ave., University Ave., Waller Ave., Forest Park Rd., Floral Park, Westwood Dr., Westwood Ct., Audubon Ave., Kentucky Ct., Linden Walk, Transylvania Park and Aylesford Pl.

This notice covers the duration of the Sweet 16/Elite 8 and Final Four weekends from 9 a.m. Thursday, March 26th until 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 7th.

If the Division of Code Enforcement or any other governmental agency determines that anything store on the outside of the property is considered to be indoor furniture under Section 12 of the Code of Ordinance, the property will be removed without further notice.

Lexington Police ain't messing around this time.
