Pat yourself on the back, Lexington. A website called Wallet Hub, which will tell you your credit score for free, ranked the Best- and Worst-Run Cities in America for 2017. In those rankings, Lexington, the city where many of you rest your head each night, ranked fifth overall as one of the best-run cities in the country. The rankings were deciding by determining each city's operating efficiency, explained by Wallet Hub as: "how well city officials manage and spend public funds by comparing the quality of services residents receive against the city’s total budget." I'm not entirely sure what that means, but I like the sound of Lexington being fifth in anything when it's up against the 150 largest cities in the United States. For a detailed breakdown of the findings, read Wallet Hub's thorough rankings here.
