"Every time I went to Kentucky it was nice to be there. It always felt like I was supposed to be there, like at camps and visits and everything. Coach (Darin) Hinshaw was always around me and Coach (Eddie) Gran, (Vince) Marrow, all of them," Sheron said Friday morning on Kentucky Sports Radio. "They're relentless. They're always texting you, wishing you good luck. They're on your head and it's a good thing to be like that. You can tell they want you and want you to be a part of the team." Sheron is the seventh-ranked player in the Commonwealth and the No. 20 pro-style quarterback in the 2021 recruiting class according to 247 Sports. A passer that can be elusive in the pocket, Sheron makes more plays with his arm than his legs. Even though Kentucky's quarterbacks as of late have been used extensively in the run game, the Wildcats' style of play did not deter Sheron from Kentucky. "Obviously, I'm not Terry Wilson. I don't run a 4.4, so I'm not going to be a running quarterback. I can't do that. I can throw the ball, so whenever I get there, hopefully, I think they will (throw more)," he said. "They change to their quarterbacks, like last year they ran the ball with Lynn Bowden because obviously they didn't have a quarterback that could throw the ball. They adjust to their quarterbacks really well and that's what's impressive to me." Before he moves to Lexington, Sheron will try to carry the Briar Jumpers to consecutive 2A State Titles. Tonight Somerset will host the only team that handed them a loss in 2019, Lexington Christian, in Kroger's KSR Game of the Week. He talked about what's at stake and more in a six-minute conversation with Matt Jones and Ryan Lemond on Kentucky Sports Radio.
