Listen to Hal Mumme on Kentucky Sports Radio
This morning, Tim Couch and Jared Lorenzen made the most of their guest hosting gig by bringing former UK football coach Hal Mumme on to the show to tell stories and catch up on old times. Despite the scandal that surrounded his departure, I believe Mumme is still thought of fondly in the BBN for putting Kentucky football back on the map with the Air Raid offense, and of course, his laid back style. My dad still has a pair of those shades.
Mumme talked about what his time at Kentucky meant to him, what it was like to work with both Couch and Lorenzen, the Jimmy Buffet warm-up music, and told one of the best Hal Mumme stories ever. Here's one hint: it involves a hot dog.
