With the 2022 Vrbo Citrus Bowl now just six days away, the good guys have left for their destination. Earlier on Sunday, the Kentucky Football team took flight from Lexington for sunny Orlando, FL where the ‘Cats will face the Iowa Hawkeyes on New Year’s Day.

The majority of the team is expected to play in this Saturday’s postseason bowl. From what we know, there have been zero player opt-outs. Only two athletes aren’t expected to suit up, wide receivers Josh Ali and Isaiah Epps, who are sidelined following injuries from an auto incident. The entire media guide for Kentucky’s second Citrus Bowl appearance in four years can be found right here.

As we head into game week, Kentucky remains the betting favorite over Iowa. As of Sunday afternoon, CircaSports has the ‘Cats listed as a 3-point favorite with the over/under set at 44. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Jan. 1 at Camping World Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
