Did Bullitt County make this map? The Huffington Post released a picture of the United States showcasing how much Mountain Dew is sold across the nation, and Kentucky is leading the way. The map shows the Bluegrass sells the highest number of cases per capita out of any state in the country, checking in at an average of over 4.9 cases sold per person per year. https://twitter.com/KySportsRadio/status/1254571616853528577 The map was actually first released on Jan. 27, 2015, alongside a brief article that says "America’s heartland is keeping Mountain Dew alive, even if the coasts ignore it." It goes on to explain that Mountain Dew will "survive the death of soda," and includes this fun-fact about the green drink:
"Just 20 percent of Mountain Dew drinkers are responsible for nearly 70 percent of its volume, according to Mountain Dew parent company Pepsi. And they tend to skew young and male and live away from the coasts."
I feel like this Louisville couple - who were recently caught on camera verbally abusing store employees over 552 cans of Mountain Dew - might be at-least partially responsible for Kentucky's high numbers, right? Kentucky, please drink responsibly.
