The great city of Louisville has been named
"Best Destination Experience" of 2016 by the World Food Travel Association. In its new Foodtrekking Awards, the WFTA gave Louisville its "Best Destination Experience" crown over Helsinki, Finland and Nova Scotia, Canada.
According to its website, the Foodtrekking Awards are selected by a panel of five expert judges. The WFTA describes itself as: "a non-profit and non-governmental organization (NGO) recognized as the world’s leading authority on food tourism. Its mission is to drive economic development for the food, drink, travel and hospitality trade."
Louisville was the only award-winner from the United States among the five categories.
