Louisville Now Claims Four National Titles

by:Matt Jones08/29/12
What is the greatest example of Little Brother Syndrome? Is it obsessively following everything Big Brother does and harassing them for any possible misstep, no matter how slight? Is it losing consistently and making excuses by generic references to being "classy" or "doing things the right way?" Or is it simply always nipping at Big Brother's heels but never quite catching up? Well it could be all of those, but honestly it is probably this. Louisville has made a t-shirt claiming to have won 4 National Championships. Now some of you may be saying..."Matt, I thought Louisville has only won two titles, one in 1980 and one in 1986". Well you are correct. But according to this OFFICIALLY LICENSED SHIRT BY ADIDAS, Louisville is now also claiming titles in 1948 and 1956. So what are these two mysterious titles? Well a little Wikipedia research shows that in 1948, Louisville won something called the NAIB tournament and in 1956, Louisville won the NIT. Yes, you read that correctly....Louisville is now claiming NAIB and NIT wins as "National Championships." Even better, one title Louisville is claiming was actually WON BY KENTUCKY. Yes, in 1948, they actually had a NCAA Tournament and...oh yeah, Kentucky won it. That my friends is little brother syndrome. Claim national championships you didn't win, including one won by Big Brother. How long until a t-shirt comes out that claims they actually won the 2012 title as well. #L1CYaLater #LouisvilleHateDay is 4 hours away
