How do I basketball?
In the hubbub of all of yesterday's disappointing news, and the excitement on Monday from the commitment of Julius Mays, something from last weekend slipped through the cracks that I think is actually pretty neat.
Quick warning: it involves Louisville. And not in a degrading way. I know, heresy. So if that makes you want to skip right on by, I understand. But give it a shot, and maybe you'll crack a smile.
During the course of Louisville's College of Dentistry graduation, former Card Kyle Kuric gave the graduates, and the crowd, quite a surprise with an unexpected proposal to his long-time girlfriend. It wasn't anything particularly poetic, just a few words and a drop to one knee, but it's worth a look regardless:
Maybe it's not the biggest sports news (there's not much right now), but it is uplifting and genuine and heartfelt. I thought maybe we could use a little bit of that today. Congratulations, Kyle.
