In less than a month, professional sports will be back in our lives. This morning, Major League Soccer announced it will return on July 8 with the “MLS Is Back” Tournament at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. All 26 MLS teams will participate in the spectator-less event, with matches taking place almost every day starting at 9 a.m., 8 p.m., and 10:30 p.m.

Teams can begin arriving in Florida on June 24 for preseason training, with those that are able to train in their home markets required to report no later than seven days prior to their first match. Teams will be divided into six groups for group play beginning on July 8, with the top two teams in each group and the four best third-place finishers advancing to the round of 16 from July 25-28. The final will take place August 11.

For more details, head on over to ESPN. If you’re looking for a team to root for, may I suggest Nashville SC?
