marcuslee happy In an interview with Kyle Tucker over at the Courier-Journal, Bryan Lee said his brother Marcus has two options for next season: play basketball professionally or return to Kentucky for a senior season. Transferring for a graduate season is not an option:
“There’s whispers every year, just because people feel like they know what’s better for him,” his older brother Bryan told The Courier-Journal on Tuesday. “But as he’s shown each year, he’s completely loyal to Kentucky. It’s kind of baffling that anybody would question that, considering what he’s done for the school and the impact he’s had on that community. “It’s almost kind of a slap in the face to him that anyone would even question that, considering what he’s sacrificed.” [Courier-Journal]
John Calipari confirmed Lee will test the NBA waters, along with Isaiah Briscoe, before making a decision on a return. Neither will hire an agent before the combine, so they'll both be eligible to come back if they do not receive the info they would like to hear. Marcus isn't concerned about where he will fall in the draft, according to his brother. He will only go if he believes it is the right situation, regardless of what pick that may be. "It kind of depends on how the workouts go and how the combine goes. I think he’s really just excited about the work going into it and getting back to being the player he can be and getting his confidence rolling again.” Read the entire interview here.
