Mark Stoops says Kentucky WILL accept a bowl bid

For the fifth straight season, Kentucky will go bowling. Despite the staff changes announced today and the toll of a long and emotional season, Mark Stoops said the team has decided to accept a bowl bid if offered.
“We do plan on playing a bowl game, by the way,” Stoops said. “We absolutely do. We had a team meeting this morning and the vast majority of the guys are excited and want to play. There are few that just need some time. They need some time to heal up both physically and mentally and I completely understand that but we’re excited about moving forward with a bowl game.”
Stoops said he hopes to have a new offensive coordinator in place by Early Signing Day (next Wednesday), but for the bowl game, the staff will run the offense by committee.
