WATCH: Mark Stoops addresses media for final time before South Carolina
The most anticipated press conference of the regular season occurred on Thursday evening when Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops fielded questions from the media for the final time before the Cats host South Carolina on Saturday night.
We finally got somewhat of an official update regarding the status of quarterback Will Levis.
“No news,” Stoops said. “My policy is if somebody’s out, I’ll tell you. I don’t have anybody out. If I had somebody out, I’d tell you.”
Meanwhile, linebacker Jacquez Jones is “highly doubtful” and EDGE J.J. Weaver remains questionable heading into the SEC home opener for Kentucky. Stoops also fielded questions on South Carolina’s elite special teams, offensive line depth, and progress of the kicking game in Lexington.
We will learn soon if QB1 is ready to go or not come Saturday night.
