Last night, we told you that Matt Elam is essentially down to Kentucky and Alabama. The Elizabethtown defensive tackle told Larry Vaught over the weekend that while he likes Louisville, playing in the SEC is one of his top priorities, which means it's a two-horse race been the Cats and the Crimson Tide.
Today, Elam is heading down to Alabama to meet with Nick Saban and work out for the staff.
Saban recently told Elam he's the best defensive tackle in his class, something he also told OJ Smith, who recently committed to Alabama. Will Smith's commitment slow Saban's pursuit of Elam?
Elam will visit Lexington early next week, but if he leaves Tuscaloosa without committing to Alabama, you have to feel good about UK's chances.
