The first coaching loss of the offseason is a significant loss for the Kentucky football team. According to ESPN's Field Yates, defensive coordinator Matt House is expected to leave Kentucky to be the linebackers coach for the Kansas City Chiefs.  House previously worked with new Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnoulo from 2009-11 on the St. Louis Rams' staff. House has spent three seasons in Lexington, the last two calling Kentucky's defense.  Last year UK ranked sixth in scoring defense, and was Top 25 in passing and total defense.  This year House also made significant recruiting contributions, helping sign six from the state of Georgia, the most from any state. The loss to the program stings.  There's no other way to spin it.

Sources tell KSR's Matt Jones the deal is not yet finalized, but it's very possible House makes the move back to the NFL.
