Meeks makes the Wooden Award Cut

The list for the midseason 30 candidates for the John R. Wooden Award was released this week and the pride of Orestes and Margaret was among those still being considered to be named the nation's best basketball player.  Meeks was one of nine players to be named to the midseason thirty who were not among the pre-season 100 players named to the Wooden watch list.  The group will be trimmed to 20 early in March and then will be cut down to a 10-player Wooden All-American team later in that month, before the Player of the Year is determined in April.
