Well its the time that many of you have been waiting for as we introduce the Kentucky Sports Radio Girls. These wonderful young ladies are part of the radio crew and will be on the ESPN show doing news and promotional work. When you see the Kentucky Sports Radio crew, be sure and tell these girls hello as well. Over the next few weeks, you will hear more about them and they will be at some UK home football and basketball games. Watch out. First up is Amanda. Age: 20 Hometown: Louisville Reason Amanda wanted to be a Kentucky Sports Radio Girl: I love sports and want to try and get into broadcasting some day. I watch all the games and thought it would be fun to get to talk about them and promote the show. Plus the guys on the show are funny, so it is a great show to be a part of. Favorite Kentucky Player: I like Randolph Morris because he is good at the basket and is a good rebounder. Plus he is a smart guy and I like that in a player. Favorite Kentucky team memory: I like when they won the title in 1996. I was a big fan of Derek Anderson and I wanted to see him win it a lot. He is probably my favorite Kentucky player ever. What you are looking forward to this year: I cant wait to meet all the fans of the show. The guys are so funny and the fans seem crazy. I want to be at the next White Castle contest too. Your prediction for UK: I think they are going to be good. Final 8. First time to meet the fans: I will be with the guys at the Louisiana-Monroe game in two weeks and then in Marshall County for the Marshall County Hoopfest. After that, I guess when we do the pregame shows. Here is Amanda's Myspace site where she welcomes all the Kentucky Sports Radio fans. So there you go, that is the first of the Kentucky Sports Radio girls. Look for the others next week. See we have more pictures than just OH Napier.
