Merry Christmas, Belated: Wildcats Tame the Tigers in the Music City Shred-Off

by:C.M. Tomlin12/30/06
While you were eating leftover candy from a four-day old Christmas stocking on Friday, or perhaps peeling an orange if your family is one of those who prefers to put things such as oranges and apples into said stocking, the Wildcats were busy exceeding expectations during a stunning 28-20 defeat of the Clemson Tigers in Nashville. Andre Woodson cemented his season with a very nice 300 yards in passing and three touchdowns, earning him the MVP and placing him alongside one-time juggernaut and famed latter-career press-conference crier Tim Couch as the only two QBs to top the 30 touchdown mark in one season. The Dickie Lyons Junior Show also put up a strong season finale and, in a festivus miracle, this defense was truly a force to be contended with, forcing Clemson to stuff their sorries in several sacks provided by the Cats. Big bowl win, gang. But enough of my thoughts -- what did you guys think? Post on, my wayward friends. Post on.
